The six faces of a cube make for a nice sudoku variant. I've created one of these, but I plan to make more. Each face is 4x4, with 16 cells. The rows and columns wrap all the way around the cube, so each has 16 cells. Since there are only six faces, there are only 96 total cells. That means that the overall size of the puzzle is similar to the usual 3x3 puzzle with 81 cells.

I printed one out, pasted onto poster board and actually made a 3-D cube. Very cool.
