I think Sudoku Assistant now finds all? magic cells. I would appreciate anyone familiar with such issues to give it a try and let me know what you think.

Mind you....
a) It's slow, because in order to do this, it has to use logical analysis even at the most basic level. Usually it does the simpler "human" techniques first before ever needing the hypothesis/proof business.
b) Magic cells are level-dependent. So, for example, if you don't search for X-Wings, you will get different magic cells than if you do search for X-Wings.
I hesitate to say "all" because I can't say for sure that it is true. What I know is that it is going through checking all strong chain nodes and all weakly associated nodes using logic and then seeing if the hypothesis is NOT proven, then at least is the puzzle solved. This turns out to be a trivial addition, in terms of code -- 3 lines in logic.js! _________________ Bob Hanson
