I just made the grid for s sudoku puzzle and it am just thinking about filling it with numbers. Cant you just fill it up bit by bit you know put a 3 here and a 4 there randomly and just check that it is solvable and possible? Add numbers at random, ensuring it has solutions all the time, and keep doing it until there is only one possible solution left. A small problem is that you likely have far too many cells filled in at this time.
