Hello,
(Great Forum)
Yes, another Sudoku in the universe (coded in Delphi 7).
If I could have your feedback, it would be great.
Thanks.
You can download it on this page : http://www.orchaid.com/english/sudokuburst.html

Hi, welcome to the forum.
I moved your post to the "Software" forum, because it is obvious that you are promoting your software, and that is what this section of the forum is for.
Would you care to tell a little more about your program? Is it freeware or commercial? What platforms are supported? What does the program do?
[edit: I had a look at your site, and see that it is a program for Windows XP and 2000.
I also noticed that you're using a 17-Clue example on your site. It would have been nice to mention the source of that sudoku. (It is from Gordon Royle's collection. #13316 of 32930)

cheers,
Ruud. |

I'm not promoting anything !! It's totally freeware.
I just do it for fun.
For the example, I didn't know the source but I'll mention it.
I have a page in french but not yet translated in english where I put the code of the solver.
I just wanted to have a feedback.
EDIT : I added the source of the puzzle use on the screenshot and to make things clearer added that this is a freeware.
Cheers,
Hervé |

Please do not feel offended. Many of us have written sudoku programs that we offer for free. There is a reason for the forum hierarchy.
The "Programming Sudoku" forum is for asking questions about programming issues, and to exchange code samples. Mostly programmers will read the forum.
If you have a complete application, you post it here in the "Software" forum. This is to your advantage, as many of the non-programmer guests go straight to this forum to see whether there are new programs to download (for free).
cheers,
Ruud. |

Hi Hervé
I just downloaded your program. As my French is nearly nonexistent I don't try at all.
I think there are some features missing. The most important one is that I cannot exclude candidates. (Perhaps I have not yet found out how to do it. Suggest right-clicking to clear as left clicking would make that candidate permanent.)
Another one I would like to see is an online help file (preferably in .chm format).
Next, could you do something about making file formats compatible, at least with Angus's program? I do not really know whether there is an established file format. Anyway, as I could not solve 1.9.5 because I cannot exclude candidates I had to enter it manually into Simple Sudoku. Then it was relatively easy to solve it. Simple Sudoku would warn because the puzzle is asymmetrical, but you can just click away the alert box and continue.
Greetings from Austria,
