Maybe I gave up too soon, but I can't find what a "Super Hint" is in Simple Sudoku -- not in Help, nor hints.php, nor Google.
???
BTW, Brilliant program

When super hints are turned off, the program will only focus on the cells where the eliminations / placements can be done and show the hint in the status bar.
When super hints are turned on, the filter will be set to the correct number and patterns will be highlighted.
