Hi,

I want to introduce my little homepage where you can play Sudokus with only 17 hints (Propably minimal ones):

http://moritz.faui2k3.org/sudoku_online/

Not much eye candy, just plain xhtml/js.

Tarek,

I think Moritz already found this collection. The puzzles on his site are scrambled versions. I checked the last 10 puzzles and they were all ME to puzzles in Gordon's collection. It's just a little strange that the website does not mention this. It would have been polite to reference the source.

You are absolutely right, nearly all of them are from Gordon Royle. I now added a comment on the the index site saying so.
(it might take a few minutes for the comment to show up, my internet connection is rather slow atm).

Shame on me for not doing it in first place.

Thanx Ruud, I knew it, but I hoped Moritz would admit it before you cornered him Very Happy

Unfortuantely for you Moritz, ALL known 17 clue sudokus are on Gordon's list. So you've either taken all of them from the list or you've generated some which happen to be on the list Shocked , or you've generated new ones

You are on a PROGRAMMERS forum you have to be clear about this IMO, especially because most of us can look through isomorphism quite easily.....

I did generate some 17 clue sudokus, but they were on the list. However I think I can claim to have done some of the work, so the statement that nearly all of them where from the list is valid IMHO.

I select my Sudokus randomly, so I don't really know how much of my daily Sudokus are my own work, and how much is from the list.

BTW I contacted Mr. Royle about the license for his Sudokus, and he agreed to release them under a CC license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/

I hope I clarified everything there is to clarify;-).

I think you went to great lengths to clear any misunderstanding Moritz, an effort not many would do........ Cool
