Thanks for the feedback. I have fixed the problems reported and now believe that the puzzle is stable and works with most browsers.

Please let me know if you find any more problems and I will fix them.

I have updated the program to improve the puzzle generator and provide feedback when puzzle completed successfully.

Version 2 of web based Sudoku is now available. It now contains a new menu structure, is faster and is more customizable than before. The menu and puzzle colors and border colors and sizes are easily changed to give a customize appearance.

It is consistent across all browsers!!!

The solver support most of the solving techniques including x-wings.

All of the menus and messages are contained in a separate file to facilitate translation. I am hoping that I can get some volunteers to translate into different languages.

I have upgraded my web based Sudoku program to include solvers for x wings, swordfish, xy wings, colouring, and forcing chains. In addition, I have added a new and improved menu layout with two new features. It now includes a save and restore puzzle feature and a "single step" and "hint" feature.

It is designed for easy translation to other languages. I am hoping to get some volunteers to help out with this aspect of the program.

It continues to be free for both private and commercial use and contains no advertisement or adware. You can download it at http://sudoku.pjoneil.net
