Hello all,
I'm a sudoku newbie. (Playing for less than a week now). I consider myself easily addicted, so in a short time I feel I conquered a lot of solving techniques already.
The one thing that always breaks me is coloring.
I never know where to start coloring, and what to do when a cell has multiple conjugates. Does anyone have a link/site that really explains coloring extensively? Most links I found here seem to use the same explanation, and it just doesn't hit the spot.
Thanks in advance,
Braniac. |

Hi Braniac,
Coloring is a way to visualize the binary nature of strong links. When you understand this concept, you are able to apply a whole range of solving techniques that depend on strong links.
A good introduction into strong links is written by Havard. Just follow this link. After absorbing this article, reread the coloring explanations mentioned in the solving technique index.
cheers, Ruud. _________________ Meet me at sudocue.net |
