Can't remember the source URL anymore, this is a collection of 450 minimal sudokus by someone. I were following so many links I can't remember how I ended up to the site where these were.

I hope you don't mind if I filter these a bit, since most of them
were rather easy to me.
Some are also already contained in my other list.
Some are hard, though.
My favourite is your number 5, which took you 2.41ms

I have a program to generate 1000 random equivalence
transformations of each sudoku
(permuting rows,columns in a chute,permuting chutes,
transposing, permuting digits)
and then I take the average score.

I also experienced differences depending on the
order how I process the constraints and placements.

I'll store all these lists and maybe later we have to rescore them,
when a better scoring program is available.

I added all of them, because it is hard to guessing which ones might be hard for other ones. As my algorithm has changed, so have changed the ones which are the hardest. In my current TOP 5 there are none that were the hardest when I first found out these.

No, I don't think it is strange at all. You get different results if the solver tries to backtrack in a different order. I tried to find a generally fast order to solve in. In the other hand I have only some 2500 sudokus, so there isn't enough of them. Especially lacking the number of hard ones, thus asked from nick70 in another thread if he has somewhere online the 16000 he mentioned, no reply this far. Probably if I did a same kind swapper as you have to give a score to the sudokus, I'd get the same scoring.

The contest codes will be public and so will be mine. Can't publish it before the contest or we might see a few codes that are surprisingly alike Wink

As a btw, my solver solves your TOP 100 hardest in 55 ms (or 99 ms if we do a simple multiplication of 1.8 to 1 GHz). I don't dare to say much of my times at the contest thread anymore, as it might scare people too much Rolling Eyes
