|
|
I was thinking today about some multiplayer ideas for Sudoku, so I've searched the 'net looking for online/multiplayer versions and can't find any.
Does anybody know if such a game exists?
Some ideas I had:
First person to put a particular number in a square has it marked in, say, green to say "I was first".
Subsequent people to put the same number in a square get it in, say, gray to indicate that they are a 'follower'. Their selection is 'probably' right, but not guaranteed.
Person who was "first" does NOT get an indication that somebody matched or failed to match their number. This aovids people guessing an answer and changing it later.
Game ends either with first person completing a puzzle or after a time limit. Score is based on number of green "I was first" squares, so the first person to finish may not necessarily win!
Any other ideas?

Hi,
I've made my own attempt in this issue a few days ago:
Sudoku Kombat
http://193.146.37.109/sudoku.zip
My implementation differs slightly from the ideas you suggested.
Perhaps my game is more agressive
However, I like also your suggestions.
This is a beta version and may have some bugs.
It was only tested in a LAN environment.
I Hope you test it _________________ Quality neveR goes Out of stYle |

You could base your game rules on that of a board game. For example, sudokuShop (www.sudokushop.com) sell a board game which is obviously multi-player.
This has a time element, a scoring system, and should give you some ideas. See http://www.sudokushop.com/product_info.php/affiliate_id/none/products_id/83 for details. |
