These puzzles are generated using Ruud's SudokuCue. (Occasionally some other.)
The order and selection of the methods "allowed" varies, as may the symmetry. I mention big fish because I like them and I'll warn of Sue de coq when required.

I have all the "easy stuff" turned on and then these: UR types 1-4,
x-wing, finned-x, skyscraper (covers sashimi-x), xy wing, xyz wing,
swordfish, finned swordfish, sashimi swordfish, jellyfish, finned jelly,
sashimi jelly, ER (empty rectangle, covers regular turbot),
two string kite (the third form of turbot, skyscraper is the second),
BUG+1 and remote pairs.

Be warned that if I mention a big fish it is likely that you will not find it as solving order may well render it pointless or missing. Smile

Remote pairs is an easy chain that I don't want to use but I do need to know when it may come in early and "shortcut" a puzzle.

Same for URs, but I do include them even when needed.

For solving I myself use anything I spot, including some short chains.
Coloring usually covers fish so feel free, I don't know it or use it.

I don't mind others posting here, in fact it is welcome. You are free to post puzzles requiring methods I don't use, but warn people please!

Finned swordfish, UR but not required.

5 2 .|. . .|. 6 3

SE rates this a 7.6.

XY-Wings, XYZ-Wing, three X-Wings, finned X-Wing, Sashimi X-Wing, finned Jellyfish, 2-String Kite, Multiple Colors, and the usual collection of basic techniques. A nice assortment!

Not too hard by SE, quite hard by SQ. I see one finned sword, and many smaller baits. Cool

SQ rates this 4500 with my settings but SE only a 6.6, because it sees no chains. Pretty fun though!

Please let the lack of responses not keep you from posting these puzzles. The quality is great. So far, I've solved each of your puzzles by spotting a single AIC that bypasses all the fish. Am I cheating by doing this? Rolling Eyes

I appreciate any feedback, thanks Ruud!

BTW, almost all are generated by your Suduko Cue, which I usually abreviate as SQ. I also generate with SE, for variety, although its weakness on fins is a big handicap for me.

I was quite interested when Tarek and Ravel (and a few others) posted solutions that involved a single chain. This is interesting data as well.

I'll look up AIC and for my own interest and as for your question as it being cheating...well, I have no objection to any method except guessing (T&E).
In that I mean people can use what they prefer, and I prefer avoiding coloring, chains and several other methods I don't know. Smile

I have two questions for you.

Did this method solve the puzzle quickly, in the time sense?
Did you locate a backdoor and then look for eliminations (or placings) in that cell?

There is a swordfish, and a finned jellyfish, and various small fry.

I'd think these puzzles are interesting. The only fish needed is a sashimi jellyfish

A twin
