Using the purely random gradual placement algorithm without pruning back after complete I got the following results after 12 hours.

Of interest is the most common board size, the most common board sizes are even, but the most common larger board sizes are all odd. The distribution curves are quite nice.

can't we make a database here with the hardest or
otherwise interesting puzzles,
which can be downloaded in one big file rather than just
one puzzle at once by highlighting,copying,saving...

tilps, can you upload a file with the 100 or such hardest puzzles
so everyone can run them through his/her solver ?
