For reasons unknown to me, when I now open the Simple Sudoku program solver the entire menu bar now appears down the left side of the grid. As far as recall this problem arose about a fortnight to a month ago. Although the menu bar still contains all the same details it is easier to "work" through the program with the menu bar at the top of the grid.
I'm using the current version 4.2n and have tried reinstalling the program which still shows the menu bar down the left hand side.

Due to a mis-understanding on my part I apologize for not seeking help sooner through this particular forum.

Any help to restore the menu bar to the top position would be appreciated.

Cec

If your screen resolution is small enough that both the toolbars and the puzzle grid won't fit on the screee then the toolbars will relocate to the side. If you make the grid smaller (Ctrl+L) this should solve this issue.

Thank you angusj for your quick response and satisfactory explanation to solve my problem. I bought a new screen monitor about a month ago and incorrectly set the resolution too low. Now, if only our Test cricket team could be this efficient. Smile
