Howdy.

Does anybody know of some generators that can generate one or more of these:
- Sudoku X
- Samurai Sudoku
- Killer Sudoku
- Kakuro
????

Thanks very much.

For Kakro, search the net for "cross sums", "cross addition", "x-sums". They've been called "cross sums" in the USA for decades.

heebiejeebieclub, my software can create any kind of overlapping puzzles, both as Killer and Sudoku, and also as diagonal or non-diagonal.

However the generator is not available, only the solver. If you have a special requirement we could generate the puzzles for you.

Are you planning to make the generator available for sale someday?

How do you set up your program to solve overlapping or samurai puzzles?

Can it solve for odd shaped blocks (in other words not the standard 3x3 blocks)?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Happy New Year,
George

Yep - I've got some vba code (Excel) that'll generate 9x9, 16x16 and Samurai (5 overlapping 9 x 9 grids). Let me know if you'd like a copy.
