Sudoku-Applet with a nice GUI to generate, solve and play sudokus online. Requires an installed and activated Java RE.
Includes a competition mode where users can compare their skills with other players (you need to register to use this feature, but it's for free).
It's in german, so some translations:
Schwierigkeit = difficulty level
Neues Sudoku = generate new sudoku
Zurücksetzen = reset the field (removes everything you entered)
Feld löschen = completely clear the field
Mögl. eintragen = automatically enter all possibilities
Lösen = solve
To enter a number, move the mouse over the desired field and hit a number key or click. Rightclick to enter/remove a possibility.
If you want to join the competition:
offene Spiele = open games (shows all games other players already played that you can join).
Rangliste = ranking
History = shows all recent games you played
Aufgeben = give up
Sudokus at Level 10 are pretty difficult (and take up to 1-2 minutes to generate).

| I changed the generator, so now it only generates symmetrical sudokus with exactly one solution. |

Hallo MagicT!
Wie bekomme ich das Ding nach dem Download zum Laufen? Mit welchem Programm muss ich die Downloaddatei öffnen? auf .jar reagiert bei mir erst ein mal der WinRar. Soll ich da was ändern?

Hi Alex!
Eigentlich ist es zum online spielen gedacht (Java Applet). Damit das funktioniert musst du allerdings Java installiert haben. Dann solltest Du unter dem angegebenen Link direkt im Browser spielen können.

hello!
i'm workin on a small java sudoku project.
i need a method (constructor if u want) that doesnt take any parameter and gives in return, a sudoku grid that it has generated.
this grid must be in a String format (81 characters).
can you help me please? i need the code for that.
