SudokuPC is a solver and a puzzle setter, but it is much more! See website http://www.sudokupc.com for full details.
SudokuPC has over 500 pre-loaded Sudoku puzzles, and puzzles from newspapers, etc can also be set up and played.
Its Scrap Pad facility enables you to solve Sudoku puzzles using the usual techniques, but without the need for pencil, paper or rubber. The Scrap Pad allows you to record 'could be', 'cannot be' and 'must be alternatives' for each square. It has Undo and Save & Restore facilities.
SudokuPC uses 'click and drag' and other mouse facilities to avoid the need for keyboard entry, and it has extensive Help facilities.
Remember, SudokuPC is obtained from website http://www.sudokupc.com. I think it's wonderful - give it a try and let me have your feedback. _________________ John |

I have been using the downloadable version of this game from www.sudokupc.co.uk. It is really brilliant and very easy to use. I've been waiting for something like this for ages! |

Thanks.
Once we completed the sudoku-solving code we then spent a lot of time showing it to friends to get ideas to make SudokuPC as easy as possible to use.
Glad you like it - tell all your friends! _________________ John |

I am sorry but I was not impressed by this program.
AngusJ's Simple Sudoku or Simes' SadMan Sudoku are far easier to use and offer many more features _________________ Bob |

Funny how all people commenting about this program are at their first post. |

It was part of our design concept that SudokuPC should take out the pencil/paper/rubber drudgery but otherwise leave the user to solve the Sudoku puzzles themselves in the traditional way with the usual techniques - and any others that may be discovered.
SudokuPC's Scrap Pad makes you do all the elimination work, but enables you to record the results of your work. The equivalent features in the other games do the elimination for you - which in our view reduces the skill required to complete the puzzles. _________________ John |

Just for the record, I don't know John Martin.
I thought the idea of the forum was to try products recommended and then give some feedback.
Obviously I'm new to this! |
