For people that may be interested, I want to report it works with no error on Linux Slackware 10.1 using a recent version of Wine (20050628), including the help file, which is quite rare for a Wine application.

Just want to say a big thanks for this software. I was looking for a Sudoku program on Linux, but there is nothing that can compare with Simple sudoku (and its price!)

I would post a screenshot but I see no need: it has exactly the same look as under Windows.

I have one simple question: can you explain the meaning of the levels of difficulty (easy, standard, hard, expert, extreme)? I mean, starting to what level should we expect to need x-wings, blowfishes and other advanced techniques to solve the puzzles?

Thanks.

Cool! For saying such nice things you can have it for a discount - say half price Very Happy.

1. For an explanion of the terminology below see - http://angusj.com/sudoku/hints.php
2. Each level may include techniques from easier levels

Easy: exposed and hidden singles only
Standard: Naked Pairs, Reducing Candidates 1 & 2
Hard: Naked Triples, Naked Quads, Hidden Pairs
Expert: Hidden Triples, Hidden Quads, Colors, X-Wing
Extreme: Swordfish
