I used my old solver to examine the puzzle and find its weak points. It turns out that it was just begging to have any one of several backdoor singles exposed. I then used my new solver, which handles chains but doesn't find backdoor singles, to solve the puzzle in steps while looking for access to a backdoor single. The two chains that performed eliminations in [r2] for candidate 7 did the trick by making the Locked Candidate 2 elimination possible in [r1c1].
My solvers are very rough and do not have a GUI interface. They're just something for me to pass the time.
