|

How about if a single control-F11 would solve all single-
candidate cells repeatedly, until either none are left or the
puzzle is solved. Similarly, shift-control-F11 would do
control-F11 and would do eliminations caused by naked pairs.
Or, you could have a set of solution techniques,
and allow the user to configure which ones are repeatable
via control-F11 ... ticking just "single digits" would make
control-F11 do what my first sentence asked for.
Ticking "single digits" and "naked pairs" would do the
second sentence (without introducing the awkward
shift-control).
The thought here is to get past the easy things and allow
the human to dwell on the tougher things.
(Why "control" as a modifier instead of shift? Many other
shortcuts already use control, so the finger is near it.)
thanks,
Stan |

Hi Stan.
Firstly, since this forum is not restricted to my Simple Sudoku programme, it'd be better if you used an existing thread on Simple Sudoku to make your suggestions.
As to your specific request, I'll give it some thought but at this stage I doubt I'll implement that. |
