Sudoku Scratch Pad is a web based tool, where you can fill in and solve Sudoku's. No Java, no ActiveX, only javascript and CSS.

Features include eliminating impossible candidates, automatic switching between found digits and lists of candidates (pencil marks), and a function to highlight digits to help you analyzing the puzzle. Every day two new Sudokus are given, but of course, you can also enter your own Sudoku.

I'll appreciate any feedback or suggestion for more features!

Kind regards,
Harry

I've just tried it out and liked it a lot.

A couple of observations/suggestions:
1. It would be nice to have a puzzle pre-loaded (eg the easy one for the day).
2. I did the "tough" puzzle for today but found it surprisingly easy. (Yes, I understand everyone has their own idea of "tough".)
3. It would be nice to be told when the puzzle is completed successfully.
4. A link or two to solving techniques would also help many.

Thanks for the feedback! Some valuable suggestions indeed.

1. That is easy to accomplish
2. The difficulty is indeed a bit varying. Yesterday's puzzle (29 Sept) was tough, todays puzzle was not that tough. I'll if I can imporve the generation of the puzzles.
3. You are told if the puzzle is completed once you submit it, for example, if only a few cells are open, and you press 'Eliminate' and it is solved, it will show. If you finish it manually, it does not indicate so, I'll see if I can improve the javascript.
4. There are several sites with solving techniques; rather than give a complete list, I prefer to check out a few and give some recommendations, show the ones that I prefer most. It's still in the line. Any sites that one feels are useful in this context, please let me know!
